As of yesterday, Valentine’s Day, Frank Bruni, restaurant critic of the New York Times, has gone online as a blogger. He pens under the handle “Diner’s Journal by Frank Bruni.”In his first substantive entry, he comments on Steven Starr’s new restaurant in New York – his debut of (or return of) Morimoto, the former Iron Chef and Executive Chef at Nobu Masaharu Morimoto’s new 1,200 square foot “white” wonderland. This post is followed, quickly, by a post five minutes later, in which he talks about his routine as a restaurant critic and serves as a “foreword” to his blogging career.In my opinion, his blog writing is much more relaxed, real, intimate and intuitive – making a better read than his normal, often affected reviews and articles.
