Sorry folks for my absence. I’ve been “off-roading” across the country. I have been spending quite a bit of time in the garden, as well as visiting my parents.

In the meantime, I’ll share a bit of joy from my garden with you . I don’t usually play favorites among my garden fora friends, but I have to admit that this is my favorite flower. I moved this peony from my grandfather’s estate after he passed away. It transplanted into my garden very well, and within a year was as hardy as ever.

That’s a beautiful peony. It looks like the classic white festiva maxima. Does it have tiny streaks of red buried in the center?
I just discovered your site and like it very much. Peonies also are my favorite flower. I planted a bulb two years ago and am hoping this is the year it will flower (I read somewhere that it takes two years). Anyway, I’ll be checking back occasionally. Cheers!–>
