Now this interests me. For my next restaurant-blogging project, I want to focus on some of the finest 2 and 3* Michelin tables. I understand the limitations of L’Ambroisie, but thanks to you I will chose wisely if I go there (I am referring to the meal). As for the service and the rest .. oh well, I guess I’ll have no choice but to swallow the pill (I know, I wish it would have been else at a 3* table, but well…faudra tirer un certain plaisir de l’effet guillotine ;p). I do not mind the $$$, as long as I am hitting some exceptional gustatory moments excepted at such level.

@Will J : L’Ambroisie. I’ve never been impressed by anything at Plaza Athenee. The cooking has dulled over the past 10 years. Perhaps when Ducasse was in the kitchen things were different but it’s just not a great restaurant. At L’Ambroisie, Pacaud is ALWAYS in the kitchen, and you could very well have the most memorable dishes of your life. Regardless, enjoy your trip to Paris :).

If given the option to visit L’Ambroisie and Alain Ducasse (Plaza Athenee) in Summer, which one do you think will be more worth?
