Or, maybe I liked graham elliot a LOT more than you. I will agree that the plating and presentations at graham elliot is considerably less “sophisticated” than at Tailor, but I didn’t find them sloppy, and I didn’t think the flavors were muddled – except the tuna carpaccio, which I wrote about in my blog post.

Regardless, I’m sorry to hear that you had a disappointing visit at graham elliot. Will I be reading about it on your blog? If not, I’d like to know what you ordered.

Tastes were muddled and compositions were confusing. To me, it seemed like a 2nd- or 3rd-rate Tailor (NYC). It could have been a bad night, but this is the sort of food I’d rather pass on. Blackbird would have been a much better option imo (where I did enjoy a great lunch the following day.)
